-----------------Cliff took Tripp to meet a new partner in his plan to destroy the Ewings.  Tripp was stunned when he discovered that Cliff's new partner is none other than Jeremy Wendell!!

A high rise in Dallas, evening....

"Oh my God.  I don't believe it.  Jeremy Wendell?"  Says a stunned Tripp as he comes face to face with Wendell in Jeremy's apartment.

"You remind me a little of your grandfather," Jeremy says.

"Well, Tripp, how do you like my little surprise?"  Cliff asks.  "I told you we'd be meeting with someone who has as much reason as you and I do to hate the Ewings.  Just like me, Jeremy was sent to rot in prison because of the Ewings."

"I spent 17 years in prison because of the Ewings, particularly Bobby Ewing,"  Jeremy says.  "They made sure that I served every day of my sentence.  And I've spent the last decade planning my revenge against that family.  Of course I had to rebuild my life, and rebuild my fortune before I would be able to exact that revenge. And of course, find a partner such as Cliff to help me achieve my goal.  My only regret is that I couldn't have acted much sooner, when J.R. was still alive and I could destroy him along with his brother.  But since J.R.'s dead and gone, I'll just have to destroy his sons and his daughter.  As the Bible says, the sins of the father shall be visited upon his sons."

"So where does that leave me?"  Tripp asks.  "From what I've heard, my grandfather helped the Ewings send you to prison back in '89, and then he took your job as CEO of Westar.  Are you gonna visit his sins on me?"

"No, Tripp, I'm not,"  Jeremy says.

"Why?  What makes me so special?"

Jeremy looks at the young man for a moment and smiles.  "I have my reasons.  Let's just say that.......I need you.  I need you to not only help carry out my revenge plan against Bobby Ewing and J.R.'s offspring, but also to be the steward of Westar, a company I devoted my entire life to.  So what do you say?  The three of us band together to bring the Ewings and their company to their knees once and for all?"

"Uh, Jeremy,"  says Cliff.  "Make that the FOUR of us.  I want my son Brad to be a part of this, too."

"Yes, of course,"  Jeremy says.

"So you've rebuilt your fortune?"  Tripp asks Jeremy.

"Yes, I have.  Using the same business sense that I started with as a young man, I manage to make some very smart investments at a time when the economy was going down the drain.  I am now worth almost as much as I was when the Ewings ruined my life.  Of course, I've had to do all of this in secret all these years, to keep a low profile so the Ewings would never find out I was on my way back."

"Well I have to say, I'm impressed,"  Tripp says.

"I'm glad to hear you say that,  Now if you don't mind, I'd like to have a word alone with Cliff.  You can wait down the hall in the living room.  Have my butler, William, fix you a drink."

Tripp looks at Jeremy for a moment, unsure of what to make of this old man he'd heard so much about for his entire life.  He nods, then leaves the room, closing the door behind him.

Cliff smiles.  "What'd I tell you, huh?  I told you that Carter McKay's grandson was a handsome and very articulate young man.  I really hate that my daughter is divorcing him."

Jeremy turns and looks out the window, his back to his guest.  "Cliff, I'm an old man.  I have a good many years on you, and I'll probably be gone long before you.  I want you to look out for that young man for me.  Take really good care of him.  I intend to leave one half of my fortune to Tripp when I'm gone, and I want you to make sure that he uses it wisely."

Cliff is surprised by Jeremy's words.  "You're......you're leaving half of your fortune to Tripp? Jeremy, would you mind if I asked WHY?  I know you don't have any family of your own.  You never had a wife or kids, but, why him?  Why Carter McKay's grandson?  And who does the other half go to?"

"The other half will go to Tripp's brother, Shawn Smith."

"Okay. now ya REALLY have me curious,"  Cliff says.  "You never even met Tripp's kid brother, did you?"

"No, I never have."

"Then why would you leave that kinda money to a kid you never met?"

Jeremy slowly turns to face him.  "Because, Cliff.  Tripp McKay and Shawn Smith are my grandsons."

Cliff's mouth falls open in shock, completely stunned by Jeremy's revelation.

Jeremy Wendell's penthouse....

"Wait,"  Cliff says, stunned by Wendell's revelation.  "Jeremy, that's impossible.  You never had any children, so how could Tripp and his half-brother be your grandsons?"

"I have a daughter, Cliff,"  replies Jeremy. "Tripp and Shawn's mother, Sharon.  I didn't know about Sharon for many years, until she was already a grown woman. Sharon's mother had been my secretary when I first started out as a young executive at Westar in the early 60s.  Her name was Caroline, and I fell in love with her, and we had an affair.  Caroline Edwards was the only woman I've ever loved.  The only one I ever ALLOWED myself to love. But I was so consumed with a driving ambition to go straight to the top at Westar, that my relationship with Caroline took a back seat.  Cliff, have you ever seen the film version of Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol, or read the story?"

"Yeah sure I have."

"You might say that myself and Caroline were the modern day version of Ebenezer Scrooge and his great love, Bess.  I let my ambition come between us, and eventually, Caroline left me.  I never again allowed myself to get close to a woman, or to anyone.  Westar became my wife, my child, and my everything.  What I didn't know was that, Caroline was pregnant when she left me.  More than 20 years later, in 1987, she wrote me a letter and told me about Sharon.  It was around the time that I caused J.R. to lose Ewing Oil in the wake of that whole B.D. Calhoun fiasco.  When I found out that I had a daughter, I took a sabbatical from Westar and went to try and find her.  When I did locate my daughter, I found her shacked up with Tommy McKay.  What a strange coincidence, my daughter ending up with the son of my longtime colleague Carter McKay.  Naturally, I was outraged.  Tommy McKay was a young punk.  A hothead with a huge appetite for drugs, and trouble.  So I did what I had to do to get him away from Sharon."

"Like what?"  Cliff asks.

"I had some friends of mine arrange for Tommy to go on a nice, long vacation to a prison in South America on a drug charge."

"YOU set Tommy McKay up?"

"There was no actual set up.  Tommy was as guilty as hell of the crime he was charged with.  I simply tipped off some friends of mine in law enforcement."

"Did Carter McKay ever know about that?"  Cliff asks.

"Of course not.  If McKay had known that I was the one responsible for sending Tommy to prison, he'd never have helped me in my war against the Ewings."

Cliff laughs.  "Oh boy.  How's that for karma?  You sent McKay's son to prison, and then McKay turned around and helped send YOU to prison, without ever even knowing you were responsible for Tommy's arrest."

"Cliff, I'm telling you this for a reason,"  Jeremy says.  "And I want you to keep this information between us.  No one is to know that Tripp's mother is my daughter.  At least not until I'm ready for them to know."

"So why tell me?"

"I needed someone I feel I can trust with this information.  Someone close to Tripp to keep an eye on him. To help and mentor him as he takes Westar to new heights.  I won't be around forever."

"Wait, you're not sick or anything, are you?"  Cliff asks.

"No, Cliff, for a man of my age I'm in excellent health.  But I just celebrated my 90th birthday, and at that age, anything can happen.  So I trust I can depend on you to keep this secret, and carry out my wishes?"

"Of course, you can,"  says Cliff.

"Good,"  says Jeremy.  "Because it would be a huge mistake for you to go against my wishes or to underestimate me because of my advanced age, Cliff.  I'm an even more formidable enemy now than I ever was.  All those years in prison, and these last ten years of biding my time have made me even more determined than ever.  As long as you don't cross me, we'll get along fine."

"And the same goes for you, Jeremy,"  says Cliff.  "I think the two of us would be far more formidable and productive as a team than as adversaries.  So I don't cross you, you don't cross me, and we work together to bury a common enemy."

"Fair enough,"  Jeremy says.

Cliff smiles, then turns and walks out of the room.  A moment later, he walks into the spacious living room, where Tripp is waiting for him.  "Ready to go?"  Cliff asks his son-in-law.

"Yeah.  What'd you and Wendell talk about?"  Tripp asks.

Cliff looks at the young man and smiles.  "Just talking about old times.  Nothing that would interest you," he replies with a lie.  "Let's go.  I'll buy you dinner."

Tripp nods in agreement, then the two men leave.

The Omni Hotel....

In his hotel suite at The Omni Hotel that night, Jeremy Lord takes his cell phone from his pocket and dials Austin's number.  He paces around the room waiting for Austin to answer.

The Wentworth mansion....

Meanwhile, as Brian is getting his things together to leave for the airport with Austin, Austin's cell phone, laying on the coffee table, begins to vibrate.  Brian walks over and picks the phone up.  "Well, well," he says.  "What do ya know?  It's Daddy Dearest."

"Jeremy?"  Katherine asks.

"Yeah.  The great Jeremy Lord.  Now what could he want?  Especially now when we're about to leave?"

"No idea,"  Austin replies.

"Too bad we don't have time to chat,"  Brian says.  The phone stops vibrating, as Jeremy's call goes to voicemail.  "Hmmmm, let's see if he leaves a message."  Brian unlocks the phone and dials Austin's number to pull up his voicemail box.

Brian puts the phone on speaker, and after a few seconds, the group hears Jeremy Lord's message:  "Austin, this is your father.  I've just arrived in Dallas, and I really need to talk with you.  It's urgent.  Please give me a call back, or come to my hotel.  I'm staying at the Omni, suite 927.  Talk to you soon."

Brian looks at Austin and smiles.  "Well, now, how about that?  Ya hear that, Austin? Daddy's in town.  Too bad you and I won't be here, huh, Austin?  We could have us a real family reunion.  If only big brother Jonathon were here, too.  Oh, well, maybe another time."

"Brian, look, you don't have to take Austin with you,"  Katherine says.  "If you need a hostage, someone to make sure that no one here contacts the police, then I'll come with you."

"No, thanks, Mom.  You see, I know how you feel about Austin.  He's your baby boy, so I know you'd never do anything to jeopardize his life.  I'm your son, too, and, even though you DID abandon me at birth, I really don't think that you'd do anything that would get me killed.  But Austin, well, after all he's recently learned about you, I'm not real sure how much love he has left for you.  And I know he hates my guts and would like nothing better than to see the cops show up at the airport and riddle me with bullets.  So I think that we're all safer if he just comes with me, and you stay put right here.  I'm also gonna need you here to protect Katie and make sure that no one finds out her guest in the basement before she gets rid of him.  Speaking of which, where is Katie?  KATIE!  HEY, WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?"

"I'm right here,"  Katelyn says, coming down the stairs.  "I was just getting myself ready."

"Ready?  Ready for WHAT?"  Brian asks.

Katelyn smiles.  "For my little date with Jimmy tonight."

Brian gives his sister a strange look.  "Your.......date?"

"That's right.  After tonight, Jimmy will be mine forever,"  Katelyn replies with a strange smile and a distant look on her face.

"Oh, boy,"  Brian says in frustration.  "Sis, I think you're kinda losin' it, there.  Katie, I really think that you need to come along with me and Austin when we leave."

"No.  Brian, I can't do that.  I won't leave Jimmy."

Brian walks over to her.  "Katie, look at you.  You're starting to come apart, and I won't be here to look after you."

"You won't have to worry about Katie,"  says Katherine.  "I'll take care of her."

"And why should I trust you to take care of my sister?"  Brian asks.

"You said it earlier.  I'm your mother.  Brian, I failed to take care of my children when you were little.  I'm not going to make that mistake again.  But I'm asking you......I am BEGGING you......please, don't take your brother.  Leave Austin here, and I promise that you will get safely out of the country."

Brian looks at her for a few seconds.  "Thanks, but we're gonna be doing things MY way. That way, we can ALL come out of this alive."

"Alright, then,"  Katherine says.  "I'll make a bargain with you.  I will take care of your sister, but you have to promise me that you'll take care of your brother.  Don't hurt him, Brian. Please."

Brian looks from Katherine to Austin.  "Don't worry.  I don't plan on hurting him.  Not unless I have to.  You just better make sure that I don't have to."

"And what about the pilot?"  Austin asks.  "What happens to him after he takes us wherever it is you're planning to go?"

"Well, I'm afraid the pilot.........won't be making it back to the U.S."

"You're..........you're gonna kill him?"  Austin asks.

"I won't have a choice,"  says Brian.  "If he comes back, then he'll contact the authorities.  I know there's no extradition treaty between Morocco and the United States, but I can't take any chances."

"Mom, did you hear that?"  Austin asks Katherine.  "Did you hear what your precious son is gonna do?  He's gonna murder your pilot in cold blood after he takes him out of the country.  And if you let that happen, then you'll be just as responsible for that man's death!"

"Or......I could just shoot you,"  Brian says, pointing his gun at Austin's head.  "I'm sick of your whining, anyway.  So who's it gonna be, Mom?  Your son, or your pilot?"

"Mom......."

"Austin, I'm sorry,"  Katherine says.  "But I will NOT sacrifice one of my children for anyone."

"Good answer,"  Brian says.  "Okay, Austin, it's time.  We need to leave.  Katie, go in the kitchen and pack us something to eat for the trip."

"Sure,"  Katelyn says, turning to head into the kitchen.

"The sooner we get the hell out of here......the better,"  says Brian.

Southfork....

Ann is sitting up in her bed at Southfork that night reading when her cell phone rings on the table beside the bed.  She reaches over, picks it up, and looks at it.  Seeing that it's Emma calling, she quickly answers.  "Emma, hi," she says.  "How are you, and how's my grandson?"

Falcon Crest....

"I'm fine, and Logan is fine,"  Emma replies. "But we may have a problem."

"Oh?  What problem?"  Ann asks.

"Have you, by any chance, seen or heard from Katherine since she's been in Dallas?"

"No.  I didn't even know that Katherine was back in Dallas.  What's she doin' here?"

"I really don't know,"  replies Emma.  "She left for Dallas a few days ago, and Richard hasn't been able to reach either her or Austin.  But that's not the worst of it. Richard, and, everyone here, knows about Katherine's other two children.  Richard's stupid niece, Angela, spied on me and she found the photo and the birth certificate, and she told Richard and Kevin.  Richard went ballistic, and he told Jeremy Lord.  Now Richard has gone to Dallas to try and find Katherine and confront her about why she didn't tell him that she'd give birth to two other children besides Jonathon and Austin."

Southfork....

"Oh, good Lord,"  Ann says.  "If Richard confronts Katherine with this, then......"

Falcon Crest....

"Then Katherine might think that I was the one who told Richard, and she could blow everything,"  Emma says, interrupting her mother.  "That BITCH will tell Richard the truth about Logan's paternity.  Mom, what am I going to do?"

Southfork....

"Alright, Emma, listen to me,"  Ann says.  "You try not to worry.  I'm gonna take care of this."

"Take care of it, how?"  Emma asks.

"I don't know.  But just trust me.  I'm gonna find Katherine Wentworth, and I will stop her from revealin' the truth about Logan.  Emma, just relax.  I'll do whatever I have to, because if this secret comes out, not only will it destroy your relationship with Kevin, but it could ruin my marriage to Bobby since I promised him I'd never keep another secret from him.  And it would also cause problems for Heather and Lucas.  I won't let that happen.  I'll call you back after I've found Katherine."  Ann ends the call and puts her phone down.  Her heart racing with panic, she fights back tears at the thought of this secret destroying her marriage to Bobby. Ann quickly gets out of bed and prepares to go and find the woman who could cause her and Bobby no end of trouble!

The Wentworth mansion....

Back at the Wentworth mansion, Jimmy is still out from the effects of the sedative Katelyn had given him earlier.  The basement door can be heard opening and closing, then Katelyn comes down the steps leading into the basement.  She walks over to the cage, takes a key from her pocket and unlocks the door.  She goes into the cage, then takes a seat on the

bed beside Jimmy, and gently strokes the side of his face as well as his brown hair.  She smiles, looking down at him.  "Jimmy?"  She calls, shaking him.  "Come on, Jimmy, it's time to wake up.  Come on, we don't have all night.  Well, actually we DO have all night, but, I'm ready to get this started.  So wake up."  When Jimmy fails to stir, Katelyn sighs, her smile fading. "Damn, I guess that sedative was stronger than I thought."  She gets up and walks over to a table on the other side of the cage, where she picks up a rag.

Meanwhile, Jimmy begins to wake up.  He is startled out of his sleep, and as he awakens, he realizes that his hands are outstretched somewhat over his head, each hand tied to a corner of the bedpost.  His feet are also tied with a heavy rope to the bedpost at the foot of the bed. He can't move, and he realizes that his pants have been taken off, as he is dressed in his boxers from the waist down.  "Ka......Katie?"  He says.

She turns to face him and smiles.  "Well, you ARE awake.  Good.  You've been out for about 3 hours now."

"Katie, why are my hands and feet tied like this?"

"Because I couldn't be in here with you if they weren't.  You'd try to get away.  And I needed you, unable to resist, for what I have planned for tonight."

"What you have planned?"  Jimmy asks, worried.  "What do you mean?  What do you have planned?"

Katelyn walks over to Jimmy and takes a seat on the bed beside him.  "We're gonna make love, Jimmy.  And, the time is JUST right for us to make a baby.  So hopefully, that's what'll happen here tonight.  Our  love will result in a new birth."

"Oh my God, you really ARE insane.  There's no way in HELL that I would ever have sex with you!"

"Oh, Jimmy,"  Katelyn says with a smile.  "You don't have a choice.  You're all tied up, remember?"

"I won't.  I WON'T!"

"Yes, Jimmy.  You WILL.  And to make absolute sure that your body cooperates.......I've taken steps to insure that you will be able to perform tonight."  Katelyn places her hand on Jimmy's leg, near his crotch.

"What are you talking about?"  Asks a frightened Jimmy.

"Remember that hamburger that I gave you earlier tonight?  It was laced with Viagra.  So you see, Jimmy, there's no way that even your body can resist making love to me."

"What?  You......oh my God, you drugged me with Viagra?"

"I had to.  Jimmy, I know that this isn't the ideal situation you're in right now, and sometimes, when a guy is in a less than comfortable situation, he can have.......performance issues.  I needed to make sure that didn't happen. So, you ready?  I know I sure am.  Let's get these shorts off and get busy."  Katelyn grabs Jimmy's boxers and pulls them down his legs.

"Katie, come on.  You can't be serious,"  Jimmy says.  "You can't do this."

"Shhhh......just lay back and relax.  I'll do all the work, since you're kinda tied up right now." Katelyn begins to undress.  As Jimmy watches, she takes off her blouse, then her bra.  Then she removed her jean shorts, and finally, dressed only in her panties, she gets on top of him.

"Katie, no,"  Jimmy says in tear.  "Please.....you can't do this.  "Katie, don't.  PLEASE!!!"

"Shhhh, relax.  I promise, you'll enjoy this just as much as I will."  Katie leans over and kisses Jimmy, then she removed her underwear......Unable to resist, Jimmy closes his eyes as Katelyn begins her assault of him.

A small, private airfield in Dallas....

Austin's convertible pulls up beside Katherine's private plane at a small, private airstrip just outside of Dallas.  Austin is driving, Brian in the passenger seat holding his gun on him.

"Okay, we're here," Brian says.  "Now you remember, BROTHER.  Not a word to that pilot about who I am.  And if you even TRY to tip the guy off about what's gonna happen to him when we reach our destination.......I'll kill you, and then I'll still kill him when we get to Morocco.  So don't be stupid and sacrifice your life for his.  Understand?"

Austin remains silent and simply looks at his brother angrily.

Annoyed, Brian plunges the gun into his brother's ribcage.  "I wanna hear you say it."

"I got it,"  Austin says with gritted teeth.

"Good.  Now let's get on that plane, and you act real happy, like you're taking a well earned vacation with a friend."

"As opposed to being kidnapped by my psychotic brother?" Austin asks.

Brian looks at him.  "Now you're getting the idea," he says.  "Come on.  Let's get this show on the road."

Austin unbuckles his seat belt, then he and Brian get out of the car.

A moment later, the two walk up the steps and onto the awaiting private jet, where they are greeted by Katherine's young pilot.

"Mr. Wentworth, good evening," the pilot says.

"Umm, hello, Matthew,"  says Austin.  "Are we all set?"

"Yes, sir, we are.  Your mother mentioned that you and your friend were to be taken to Morocco?"

"Yes.  This is a friend of mine, umm....Adam.  He works for me at Wentworth, and he's going to be helping me with some work in Morocco this summer."

"Fine,"  Matthew says.  "Well, if you gentlemen would take your seats and buckle up, we'll be taking off very shortly."

Austin nods.  As he and Brian take their seats, Matthew turns and heads to the cockpit.  Once seated, the two brothers put on their seat belts, and Brian looks at Austin with a smile.  "Matthew, huh?"  He asks in a low voice, almost a whisper.  "Seems like a real nice guy.  Kinda young, too.  I'll bet he's not even 30 yet.  It's a real shame he'll never live to see 30."

Austin looks at his brother.  "You really are SICK, you know that?" He says.  Brian simply looks at him and smiles.  As the sound of the plane's engine can be heard starting up, Austin begins to try to think of some way he might be able to get Brian's gun away from him.  He realizes that, somehow, he has to try and save not only his own life, but that of Matthew as well.  Brian has to be getting tired, and eventually he will let his guard down.  When that happens, Austin can make his move, he tells himself.

The Wentworth mansion....

Ann's car pulls up on the street in front of the Wentworth mansion and comes to a stop.  She hesitates a moment and braces herself before getting out of the car and going up the walk way to the mansion.  Once on the porch, Ann again pauses, then rings the doorbell.

Inside the mansion, Katherine comes down the stairs and enters the living room just as the bell rings.  "Who could that be?"  Katherine wonders to herself.  "It could be Richard again." The doorbell rings again.  Katherine walks into the den and peaks through the curtain and sees Ann on the front porch.  "Damn," she says.  "Ann Ewing.  What the hell is that woman doing here?"  The bell rings a third time.

On the porch, Ann is losing patience.  Finally, she pounds on the door with her fist.  "HELLO?" She yells.  "KATHERINE!?  AUSTIN?  I KNOW SOMEONE IS HERE.  I'M NOT GOING AWAY UNTIL SOMEONE ANSWERS THIS DOOR!"

"Damn that woman," Katherine says quietly to herself.  She walks back into the living room, rejoining a nervous Katelyn as Ann pounds on the door again.

Again, Ann rings the doorbell, then pounds on the door.  "KATHERINE!  AUSTIN!"

The bell rings again.  Katherine realizes that Ann probably is not going away.  Katherine looks at the front door.  She pauses for a few seconds, then walks to the door.  After a brief pause to compose herself, Katherine opens the door.   "Alright, what the hell do you want here?"

"You and I need to have a talk,"  Ann says, brushing past Katherine and walking into the house.

"You and I have absolutely NOTHING to talk about.  Now get out of here!"

"I'm not goin' anywhere until I find out what I came here to find out," says Ann.

"And what would that be?"  Katherine asks.

"Emma called me.  She told me that Richard Channing is here in Dallas lookin' for you. Have you spoken to him?"

"That's none of your damned business!"

"Did you say anything to Richard about Emma's baby?"  Ann asks.  "Because I know that Richard knows the truth about your other two children."

A stunned look comes over Katherine's face.  "What?  Richard knows?  He KNOWS about Brian and Katelyn?  How?  Emma?  That little twit of a daughter of yours told him?"

"No.  Emma had nothin' to do with it.  It was Richard's niece who told him,"

"Richard's niece?  Angela......that little......"

"So, I guess since you had no idea that Richard is aware of your little secret, then that means you haven't spoken to him yet,"  Ann says.  "And when you do speak to your husband, I want you to remember that my daughter had absolutely NOTHIN' to do with Richard findin' out, so you just keep your mouth shut about the paternity of my grandson."

"And just why should I do that?"  Katherine asks.  "If Richard knows the truth, then Jeremy probably knows, too, since he's also in Dallas.  So I have no reason to continue keeping my mouth shut about Emma's little bastard."

"WHY should you do that?  Because I love my daughter and I love my husband.  I'd do anything, and I do mean ANYTHING I have to to protect Emma, and I will go to any lengths necessary to protect my marriage."

"If you're threatening me, you really have no idea who you're talking to."

"I know exactly who I'm talkin' to," Ann says.  "And I AM warnin' you, Katherine. You say even one word about Logan to Richard Channing or anybody else, and I promise you, I WILL make you regret it."

"You get the hell out of my house," Katherine says.

"So the father of your children is also in Dallas, huh, along with your husband.  I'd sure hate to be in your shoes when Jeremy Lord does come lookin' for you,"  says Ann. "From what I've heard about him, he's a very dangerous and ruthless man, and I'm sure that he was really angry when he found out that you had kept......what are their names?........Brian and Katelyn?.........from him all these years."

"GET OUT!!"  Katherine yells.

"You keep your mouth shut, or Jeremy Lord will be the least of your worries, Katherine."

"So are you gonna shoot me the way you did your ex-husband?"  Katherine asks.

Ann glares angrily into Katherine's eyes for a couple of seconds.  "If that's what it takes to get you out of our lives," she says.  Ann walks past Katherine and starts to leave.  She stops at the door and turns back to her nemesis, a look of shock on her face.  "Good Lord," she says.  "So your long lost son's name is Brian?  It's real interesting that the man responsible for that explosion at Richard's house a year ago.........the man who killed my brother......was also named Brian.  He's 23-years-old, accordin' to the news.  Itn't that how old Austin is?"

"And what of it?"  Katherine asks, turning to her.

"My God, it's all startin' to come together now,"  Ann says.  "Your son is the person who set that explosion and murdered my brother."

"You're out of your mind!"  Katherine says.  "Why would my son blow up that house when his own family was there.  His own brother was almost killed in that explosion."

"Because he's YOUR son, Katherine, and he's obviously just as crazy as you."  says Ann.  She turns to leave, but as she opens the door, Katherine suddenly rushes past her and slams the door closed before Ann can leave.  "Get outta my way!" Says an angry Ann.

"Oh, no,"  says Katherine.  "You're not going anywhere.  Not with a crazy story like that."

"I'm tellin' you again, Katherine.  Get the HELL out of my way."

"No."

"I'm callin' the police,"  Ann says, taking her phone from her purse.

"The hell you are!"  Katherine says, quickly snatching the phone from Ann's hand and smashing it on the floor.

"You BITCH!"  Ann says as she slaps Katherine across the face as hard as she can.

Katherine retaliates by shoving Ann against the wall.  Ann quickly grabs Katherine by the hair and the two women wrestle around for a moment.  Ann punches Katherine across the face, knocking her to the floor.  As Ann attempts to leave, Katherine fast recovers from the punch and reaches up to grab her enemy's leg, pulling Ann to the floor.  She then gets on top of Ann, and again the women wrestle around, pulling each other's hair and yelling out in pain.  Finally, Ann manages to get free of Katherine's grasp.  She shoves Katherine off of her, punches her across the face twice.  Katherine does her best to fight back, but Ann being bigger and stronger, as well as being a woman who lives on a ranch as opposed to a city woman, she quickly got the better of her enemy.  Katherine manages to get one good punch in, knocking Ann to the floor again.  As Katherine scrambles to her feet, she makes an attempt to grab Ann, but Ann, laying on the floor, kicks her, knocking Katherine down.  Ann then gets up.  Katherine grabs for her, again pulling Ann off her feet and to the floor.  Before Katherine is able to get up, Ann kicks her in the face, knocking her backward and against the wall, hitting her head.  Katherine is momentarily stunned by the blow.  Ann gets to her feet.  Out of breath from the catfight, Ann looks down at a still dazed and barely conscious Katherine.  Taking a moment to compose herself, Ann reaches down and picks up her cell phone, the screen cracked to the point of making the phone unusable.  Ann turns and once again starts to leave the house.  But as she turns her back on Katherine, she doesn't see that Katherine has come to her senses.  As Ann opens the door, Katherine quickly gets up, rushes Ann, shoving her against the front door, forcing the door closed again.  Ann turns around, grabs Katherine by the throat.  Katherine kicks Ann in the leg, and as Ann reacts to the pain, she lets go of Katherine.  While Ann is stunned, Katherine shoves her enemy as hard as she can.  Ann loses her balance and falls backward into a table, hitting her head on the table's corner.  Ann falls to the floor, unconscious, Katherine looking down at her.

Meanwhile....downstairs....

As Jimmy lays in bed, his hands and feet still tied, Katelyn proceeds to get dressed.  Putting on her bra, Katelyn looks down at Jimmy and smiles.  But Jimmy appears to be severely traumatized, and is unable to make eye contact with her.  "Jimmy, you were WONDERFUL," she says.  "And with any luck, we just made a baby. You're going to make a wonderful father.  You're so kind, and so strong."  Katelyn walks over to her purse on the table and takes out her small taser.  "Okay, I'm going to untie your hands.  You can untie your feet after I leave.  Just don't try anything.  I don't wanna have to use this on you again, especially not after we just made love."

She reaches over and first unties Jimmy's right hand, then his left. Once both are free, Jimmy rubs his hands, which are sore and painful from the ropes that had bound them.

Katelyn puts on her blouse.  "I'll come back down and check on you later," she says.  "Try and get some sleep.  I'm sure you could use it now."  She blows him a kiss and then walks out of the cage, closing and locking the door behind her.  She flashes him another smile, then heads up the stairs.

Jimmy sits up in bed, tears running down his face.  He is unable to believe the nightmare he is now living through.  After a few seconds of appearing stunned and dazed, Jimmy looks up

toward the stairs leading from the basement.  The anger and rage he feels toward Katelyn rises up inside of him.  That anger begins to turn to hate.  Jimmy vows that, somehow, he WILL find his way out of this prison, and when he does, he plans to make Katelyn Spencer sorry that she ever met him!

Back upstairs....

Katelyn comes out of the basement and walks into the living room, where she finds Katherine standing over an unconscious Ann near the front door.  She walks over to her mother.  "Oh my God, what happened?"  Katelyn asks.  "Who is that?"

"That's Ann Ewing."

"Ann Ewing?  Bobby Ewing's wife?"

"Yes.  She came here looking for a fight, and she figured everything out about who Brian is."

"What are we gonna do?"  Katelyn asks, her tone almost like that of a bewildered little girl.

"I have to get rid of her,"  replies Katherine.  She puts her hands on her daughter's shoulders. "Katelyn, listen to me.  I need you to do something for me.  Okay?"

"Yeah, sure, okay."

Katherine kneels down beside Ann and picks up her purse, which lays near the door.  Reaching in, she takes out Ann's keys.  "Katie, I need for you to go and drive Ann's car around to the back of the house. Can you do that for me?"

"Yeah, I can,"  Katelyn says.

"Good.  Now hurry,"  Katherine says.  Katelyn starts to leave the house.  "Wait,"  Katherine says to her.

"What?"

"Your friend in the basement,"  Katherine says.  "We're gonna have to tie him up."

"But why?  Jimmy's locked in that cage, he's not going anywhere."

"We can't take that chance.  Especially not of him screaming and someone hearing him.  Go bring Ann's car to the back and find some rope.  There should be some in the garage.  Then come back in.  I'll get Ann tied up while you're gone.  HURRY!"   Katelyn nods, takes the keys, then exits the house.  Katherine again looks down at a still unconscious Ann.  "You're a fool, Ann Ewing,"  she says.  "You shouldn't have come here tonight.  You left me no choice.  And now I'm going to have to make damned sure that you NEVER bother me again."

Southfork....

Meanwhile, at Southfork, the Ewing men have made camp that night.  As Bobby and John Ross enjoy some coffee Bobby has just made, Justin is getting ready to crawl into his sleeping bag and go to bed, while Lucas plays a game of cards with Michael, Alex, and Shawn by kerosene lamp.  After two games of hearts, Alex, bored with the game, he gets up and walks over to Justin.  "Hey,"  Alex says to his uncle.

"Hey, man,"  says Justin.

"Mind if I join you?"

"Course not.  Have a seat.  Take a load off."

Alex sits down on a bedroll beside Justin.  "Ouch," he says. "Dude, my butt is so sore and I think I'm gonna have a serious sunburn by morning."

"I told ya you should've wore a hat.  This Texas sun in the summer aint no joke."

"I put on sunscreen, but, I don't think it helped,"  Alex says.  "This cattle drive is a lot harder and a lot less fun than I thought it'd be."

Justin laughs.  "You sound a lot like John Ross.  I'm sorry you're not enjoyin' this."

"Dude, I grew in New York City,"  Alex says.  "I love Southfork, I love horseback riding, and even workin' on the ranch every now and then.  And even though I've lived here over two and a half years, I guess I'm just not cut out for cattle drives."

"It's okay.  Not everybody's is cut out for this kinda stuff. Tomorrow, we'll be done and we can all sleep in our nice, warm beds tomorrow night."

"I'm probably gonna sleep for the next three days."

Justin laughs.

"Justin,"  Alex says after a few seconds of silence.  "How come you and John Ross don't get along?  I thought things had gotten better between the two of you.  Is it because of Pamela?"

"No,"  replies Justin.  "Not really.  Alex, John Ross and me have a real......complicated...... relationship.  We're brothers, and sometimes brothers argue and even fight. You'll prob'ly have your own issues with Little John when he gets old enough.

"Mind if I ask you a question?"

"No.  Go for it,"  says Justin.

"Why Pamela?  I mean, of all the women in the world, why'd you start dating your brother's ex-wife, for the SECOND time?"

"Y'know, I really can't answer that.  I fell in love with Pamela.  I didn't plan it, it just happened.  I made a huge mistake with Amanda. But with Pamela, it just feels so much more right than it ever did with Amanda."

"Amanda really had sex with Jimmy, huh?"  Alex asks.

Justin lowers his head.  "Yes.  Yes, she did."

"I'm sorry, man.  That was a terrible thing they did to you.  I just don't understand how Jimmy could've done that."

"Yeah, neither can I,"  Justin says.  "I thought Jimmy was my best friend.  But sometimes people aren't who ya think they are."

"Hey, you two,"  John Ross says, walking over to his son and brother.  "We all best get some sleep.  Got another long day ahead tomorrow."

"Yeah I'm pretty beat,"  says Alex.  "Night, Justin."

"Night, man,"  Justin says.  Alex stands to his feet and walks over to his own sleeping bag a short distance away.

John Ross takes a seat beside his brother and takes off his boots.  "Damn that feels good," he says.  "My feet are freakin' killin' me."

"Yeah, mine, too,"  says Justin.

"Justin, I know you're kinda pissed at me right now," John Ross says.  "Because of the things I said about Pamela. But I'm only against this little relationship of yours because you're my little brother, and I care what happens to you."

"John Ross, since when have you really cared about what happens to me?"  Justin asks.  "When I first came to Southfork and you found out I was J.R.'s son, you tried everything you could think of to get rid of me.  You even took me to court to overturn the codicil to J.R.'s will so I wouldn't get any part of his estate.  And I'm supposed to believe that now, you care?"

"I do care, Justin,"  says John Ross.  "That's why I hate to see you throwin' your life away on a woman like Pamela Barnes."

"I'm not THROWIN' my life away, John Ross.  I love Pamela, and she loves me."

"Yeah, I felt the same way when I married her.  But she can't be trusted, little brother.  I speak from experience."

"I'm sure you do,"  says Justin.  "But if Pamela became somebody you couldn't trust, you're the one who made her that way, John Ross.  You cheated on her with Emma."

"Hey, boys,"  Bobby says to them from his own little area of the camp.  "What say we all get some sleep, huh?  Tomorrow's gonna be another long day, and we need to get an early start."

"Sure thing, Uncle Bobby,"  Justin says.  He looks at his brother.  "Night, John Ross.  And thanks for the advice, but, no thanks."

"Okay, don't say I didn't warn ya,"  John Ross says, then gets up and walks away from his brother.

Meanwhile, as Lucas and Michael bed down in their sleeping bags beside Bobby, Bobby is trying to call Ann on his phone.

"You can actually get service way out here?"  Lucas asks.

"Not very good service, but I found one spot right here where it's okay,"  Bobby replies.  "I'm tryin' to call Ann, but she doesn't answer."

"She's probably asleep already,"  says Lucas.

"Yeah, you're probably right.  Well, let's us get some sleep."  Bobby puts his phone down, then lays down in his sleeping bag.

A road on the outskirts of Dallas....

Wearing gloves, Katherine is driving Ann's SUV down a country road heading away from Dallas.  Ann is laying in the backseat, bound and gagged, and still unconscious.  "Damn you, Ann," Katherine says.  "Why couldn't you have just left well enough alone?  Look what you made me have to do.  I spent 30 years as a fugitive, unable to even return to Texas.  Finally, I was FREE!  But people like you..........your damned family........I will NOT let you ruin this for me. I'll do anything to protect my children, and to protect my freedom.  If you had just left me alone.  If Jimmy Beaumont had left my daughter alone, then neither of you would be in this mess.  But you're not going to bother me again.  I'll make sure of that.  I'm very sorry for Bobby, but he'll get over it.  He got over Pam leaving him, and he eventually got over April's death.  In time he'll get over you, too.  In fact, Bobby'll be better off without you.  You were nothing but albatross around his neck, anyway.  So yes.  Bobby's life will be much better without you to screw it up with your lies and your secrets.  And Bobby will need comforting. He'll need a friend."  Katherine smiles strangely at the thought of comforting Bobby through losing Ann as she continues to drive down the rural road, followed by Katelyn in her own car.

An isolated field outside of Dallas....

A few minutes later, Katherine turns Ann's SUV onto an isolated dirt road in the country.

About a quarter of a mile down the dirt road, Katherine pulls the SUV over and comes to a stop.  Katelyn pulls up beside and brings her car to a stop.  Both women get out of the two vehicles and Katherine walks to the passenger side of the SUV, meeting Katelyn.

"Good, she's still out,"  Katherine says, looking at Ann in the backseat.

"She must've hit her head pretty hard,"  says Katelyn.

"Yes, well.  She should've left when she had the chance."

"What are you gonna do?"  Katelyn asks.  "Why did we come all the way out here?  Are you gonna kill her?"

Katherine looks at her daughter for a moment, then at the unconscious woman in the backseat of the SUV.  "No.  I'm gonna leave her.  Over there."  Katherine points across the road.  She walks over and looks down a steep hill, which is covered by some trees at the bottom.  Katelyn walks over to her.  "Perfect.  This road doesn't look like it gets much traffic."  Taking her cell phone, Katherine shines her flashlight down into the hill.  "Yes, this will do just fine."

"What do you mean?"

"We'll send the car down in there with Ann inside,"  says Katherine.  "It would be a long time before she's found.  And by that time, it'll be too late."

"How can you be sure?  What if someone DOES find her, and she tells who did this?"

"This ravine looks pretty steep.  This looks like a deserted road, and I haven't seen a house for miles.  And with all those trees and shrubbery, I don't think anyone can see the car from the road.  She could be dead before anyone finds her.  Come on.  Help me."  The two women return to the SUV.  Katherine opens the back door and pulls Ann part of the way out of the vehicle.  "Grab her legs,"  Katherine tells her daughter.

Katelyn does as she is told, and the two women carry Ann around to the driver's side, placing her in the driver's seat of the vehicle.  Katherine quickly unties Ann's hands and ankles, then removes the gag from her mouth.  As Katelyn watches, Katherine starts the ignition, then puts the SUV in 'drive'.

"Katie, help me,"  Katherine says as she begins to push the vehicle forward toward the ravine.  Katelyn helps her mother push the heavy vehicle enough until it picks up its own momentum.  Mother and daughter watch as the vehicle goes down in to the ravine and out

of sight.  Within seconds, they hear a loud crash, the sound of the SUV plowing into a tree.  The front of the vehicle was demolished, and Ann's head hit the steering wheel in the impact.

Atop the hill, Katherine looks down into the ravine for a moment, listening for any sounds.  She hears nothing, and the SUV is out of sight of the road.  After a while, she and Katelyn walk back to Katelyn's car, get in, and drive away.  Meanwhile, at the bottom of the ravine, Ann's SUV rests against a tree.  Inside, Ann is slumped over onto the passenger seat, still unconscious, her forehead bleeding.

Meanwhile....aboard the Wentworth jet...

As the Wentworth jet nears the Texas-Louisiana border, the pilot, Matthew, is made aware of a storm approaching up ahead.  Meanwhile, a nervous and restless Austin is fidgeting in his seat as Brian stares at him with a smile.

"Why don't you sit back and relax, bro?"  Brian asks.

"No, thanks."

Brian leans over to him.  "Look, just chill.  As soon as we land safely on Morocco, I'll let you go," he whispers.

"Why me and not Matthew?"  Austin asks.  "You'll be safely out of reach of the authorities in the U.S. since there's no extradition between the two countries, so what kind of threat does he pose for you that I don't?"

Brian smiles.  "I was just thinking that same thing.  So, how about I just let both of you go? That make you happy?"

Before Austin can answer, Matthew calls Austin on the intercom.  "Mr. Wentworth, I have some news."

"What is it, Matthew?"  Austin asks after pressing the button to speak to him in the cockpit.

"We have a storm up ahead.  A really big one.  Soon, the storm is gonna be all around us.  We're going to have to make an emergency landing."

"What the hell kind of bullcrap is this?"  Brian angrily asks, getting to his feet.  He heads into the cockpit.  Austin follows him.

"Okay, then turn around or fly over or around the damned storm," Brian tells Matthew as he bursts into the cockpit.

"This storm is forming all around us,"  Matthew says.  "If we turn around, we could still run into it."

"How did we not know about this?"  Austin asks.

"These summer time storms often come out of nowhere.  This one wasn't even picked up on the radar when I checked before we left Dallas.  Mr. Wentworth, we have to land in Texarkana."

"No.  HELL NO!"  Says an angry Brian.

"No disrespect, but this isn't up to you to decide," says Matthew.

"Alright, Matthew,"  Austin says.  "Land us in Texarkana."

"There's no way this plane is landing ANYWHERE until we get to Morocco," Brian says, looking at his brother.

"You heard the man.  We're about to run into a bad storm.  We HAVE to land!"

Brian pulls his gun out.  "Okay, Matthew," he says.  "You attempt to land this plane.......and I put a bullet in your brain as soon as we touch down."

"What the hell is going on?"  Matthew asks, stunned.

"We're goin' to Morocco, that's what going on here,"  Matthew says.

"Mr. Wentworth, who is this guy?"

"Matthew, I'm sorry," says Austin.

"Go on, Austin.  Tell him who I am,"  Brian says.

"He's my brother," Austin says.

"Your......your BROTHER?"  Matthew asks.

"That's right,"  Brian says.  "And my brother can tell you how dangerous I can be when people don't follow my directions.  Go ahead and tell him, bro.  Tell him what I'm wanted for in California."

"He's.......he's wanted for murder," Austin says.

"I killed three people in an explosion in California exactly one year ago,"  Brian says.

Matthew looks at him and his mouth falls open in shock. "Dear God," he says.  "I remember hearing about that on the news.......Brian Manning."

"Yep, that's me."

Matthew looks at Austin.  "This guy's your BROTHER?"

"Unfortunately, yes,"  replies Austin.  "I didn't even know he existed until he and my equally crazy sister showed up at my house and held me hostage.  Matthew, I am SO sorry you got dragged into this."

"Enough of this chit-chat," Brian says.  "You're gonna fly us safely through that storm."

Austin gives him an angry look.  "You really ARE out of your damned mind."

"If we fly through this storm, we could all die," says Matthew.

Without warning, Brian quickly pulls a knife from his jacket pocket and holds it to a frightened Austin's throat.  "Or, I could slit my brother's throat while you watch, then I put a bullet between your eyes," Brian says. "So which is it gonna be? Take a chance of using your excellent piloting skills to fly us safely through a storm, giving us a 50-50 chance of dying?  Or.....refuse, and we all die.  Austin with a slit throat, you with a bullet in the brain, and then I die when the plane crashes.  Because there's no way in HELL I'm letting this plane land and taking a chance on goin' to jail.  I'd rather die."

"Matthew, do what he says,"  Austin pleads.  "He's crazy enough to do it."

"Okay, okay, man, just calm down," Matthew says.  "Please, I have a wife and two kids.  Please."

"Then if you wanna have a chance of seeing that wife and two kids again, fly us through."

Left with no choice, a terrified Matthew turns around in his seat and proceeds to follow Brian's instructions and fly them on, despite the approaching storm that is already causing flashes of lightening outside the aircraft.

Back at the Wentworth mansion....

Katherine and Katelyn drive to the back of the Wentworth mansion in Katelyn's car, having returned from where they had taken Ann earlier.  Katherine pulls her daughter's car into the garage behind the house.  Katelyn seems shaken, almost in a trance by all the events that have happened.

"Okay, let's go in,"  Katherine says.

Katelyn remains still and silent in the passenger seat.

Katherine turns to her and touches the young woman's face.  Finally, Katelyn looks at her. "Katie, listen to me,"  Katherine says.  "I really need you to hold it together right now, alright?  Darling, I promise, I'm not going to let anything happen to you.  I failed you when you were born and I gave you and your brother away.  But I am NOT going to fail any of my children again. Now come.  It's been a long and difficult day, so let's go in the house and get some sleep."

Katelyn finally nods, then the two women get out of the car.  A couple of moments later, they walk into the house through the backdoor leading to the kitchen.  Katherine turns on a light in the dining room.  As she and Katelyn walk into the living room, Katherine switches on a light, then both women stop dead in their tracks, a look of complete shock on Katherine's face as she sees Jeremy Lord sitting in a chair in the middle of the room.

"Hello, Katherine," Jeremy says calmly as he looks at his former wife.  "Out for an errand?"

Katherine stands there looking at her former husband, an expression of both anger and disbelief on her face.

Aboard the Wentworth jet over Texarkana

Meanwhile, the Wentworth jet is flying directly into the path of a violent thunder and lightening storm raging over the Texas-Arkansas border.  Austin and Brian have returned to their seats, as the plane is experiencing turbulence due to the storm.

Austin looks out the window at the lightening streaking across the sky outside.  "This is completely insane," he says. "We're all gonna die!"

"We all MIGHT die," says Brian.  "But if you don't shut up that really annoying complaining, you WILL die, brother, so just SHUT THE HELL UP!!"

"It's really astonishing that you and I came from the same gene pool," Austin says.

"What, you think you're so perfect?"  Brian asks.

"I never murdered anyone.  And I never planted a bomb to kill my whole family."

"Of course not.  You had no reason to.  You were raised in the lap of luxury."

"And you think you had a reason to?"  Austin asks.  "All you accomplished was the murder of three innocent people who never did you any harm, and turned yourself into a criminal. You ruined your life, and for what?  Revenge?  To pay back the mother who gave you away?  The father and brothers who didn't even know you existed?  Man, have you even, just once, had a moment of remorse or regret for what you did?  For the lives you took?"

Brian looks at him for a moment.  "Of course I did.  I still do.  I'm not totally evil and without any conscience at all."

"You sure could've fooled me,"  Austin says.

"You son of a bitch,"  Brian says softly.  "It's so easy for you to sit there and judge me when you've never been through the kind of crap that I've been through.  When you've never had your back bloodied and bruised from beatings.  When you've never had to go to bed hungry, or fear that anything you said or did would cause you to get another beating.  I bet you never had to watch other kids have birthday parties and get presents, or get a new bike for Christmas while you got NOTHING!  You never had to take beatings to protect your sister from getting one for something SHE did."

"Look, man, I'm sorry for what you and Katelyn went through as children.  I really am.  But a lot of people are abused as kids and they don't become killers."

"Yeah, well, I guess that comes from having Katherine Wentworth's DNA.  Or maybe it's extreme abandonment issues."

"For what it's worth, I'm sorry about that, too,"  Austin says.  "I'm sorry that Mom abandoned you and Katelyn.  But that was NOT my fault."

"Maybe not.  But I had to use you to get to Mommy Dearest.  Anyway, this conversation is over.  Just sit back and shut your mouth."

As Austin is about to say something else, the plane runs into more turbulence, and begins to shake.

"Hey, what the hell was that?"  Brian asks.

"Turbulence,"  Austin replies.  "It's the storm."

"Hey, Matthew, better watch it!"  Brian yells as the plane lurches again, this time even more violently.  "Damn it," Brian says.  He unbuckles his seat belt, stands to his feet, and starts for the cockpit when the plane again lurches, causing him to almost lose his balance and fall.  He opens the door of the cockpit.  "What the hell is going on?"  He asks.

"This storm,"  Matthew replies.  "I warned you it was gonna be rough flying through this."

"Well, you just make damn sure we get through it."

Suddenly, a bolt of lightening strikes one of plane's engines, causing a violent shaking inside the cabin, almost knocking Brian off his feet.

"What was that?"  Brian asks. "What's going on?"

"One of our engines has been hit."

"Hit, what do you mean, HIT?"

"By lightening.  I suggest you go back to your seat and buckle up.  I've gotta try an emergency landing."

"NO!  No landing!"

"I don't have a choice!"  Matthew yells.  "If I don't land this plane, then we're all gonna die!"

"DAMN IT!!"  Says an angry Brian.

Again, the plane lurches, causing him to lose his balance. As he starts to go back to his seat, struggling to stay on his feet, Austin suddenly lunges at his brother, grabbing Brian.  The two fall to the floor of the cabin and wrestle around for a few seconds as the plane begins to lose altitude.  Brian makes an attempt to go for his gun, but Austin grabs his arm to try to keep him from gaining access to the weapon.  Meanwhile, in the cockpit, Matthew is desperately

trying to maintain control of the plane as it goes into a nosedive, it's right engine on fire.

"Air traffic control!  Mayday, mayday!"  Matthew calls on the radio.  "Mayday, this is flight N422, mayday!  We have been struck by lightening and I've lost my right engine."

Back in the cabin, Austin and Brian continue their struggle for control of the gun.  Brian hits his brother hard across the face.  Austin falls backward, but manages to regain his footing, grabs for the gun in Brian's hand again, and forces Brian's hand against one of the seats. As Brian yells out in pain, Austin forces the weapon from his brother's hand and it falls to the floor!

Before Austin can grab the gun, Brian kicks him in the face, knocking him to the floor. Brian picks up the gun, then, on his knees, points it at his brother. Seeing the gun pointed directly at his face, Austin begins shaking with fear, realizing that he is probably about to die.

"Now, BROTHER, you'd better be saying your prayers, because I'm about to blow a hole in you," Brian says angrily.

Again, the plane lurches violently, knocking Brian off his feet.  Very swiftly, Austin lunges at him, grabs for the gun, and again the two brothers wrestle around for control of the weapon.  Brian punches Austin, but before he can again point the gun at him, Austin kicks his brother's hand, knocking the gun out of Brian's hand, sending the weapon flying across the cabin.  Brian makes an attempt to run for the gun, but Austin quickly gets to his feet, grabs Brian from behind, and wrestles him to the floor.  As the door of the cockpit suddenly flies open, Austin chokes his brother to the point that Brian can no longer struggle.  Within a moment, Brian loses consciousness.

The plane makes yet another violent motion, as it begins losing altitude at an even faster rate.

"MATTHEW!  WHAT'S GOING ON UP THERE?" Austin yells.

"Brace yourself, Mr. Wentworth!"  The pilot yells back.  "I can't control the plane anymore.  We're going down!!!"

"Oh my God!!"  Austin

cries.  Against all odds, he somehow manages to get into a seat and buckle his seat belt.  As Austin cries, realizing that he is about to die, the plane continues its fall from the stormy skies.

"MAYDAY, MAYDAY!!"  Matthew continues to call for help.  "WE HAVE LOST BOTH ENGINES AND WE ARE GOING DOWN!  REPEAT, WE ARE GOING DOWN!!"

Suddenly, the plane begins to shake violently, the noise of the vessel plowing into the tops of trees sounding loudly in the cabin as Austin cries and prays for his life.....

The Wentworth mansion....

"Jeremy, what the HELL are you doing here?"  Katherine asks.

"This is my son's home, Katherine.  I came to see Austin."

"Austin isn't here.  So how did you get into this house?"

Jeremy stands and looks at her.  "Katherine, you should know me well enough to know that, when I want something, I damned well get it.  Where is my son?"

"That's none of your damned business!"  Katherine angrily says.

"It's very much my business,"  Jeremy says.  He then looks at Katelyn.  "And who is this?"

"I'm Katelyn.  Katelyn Spencer.  And you're Jeremy Lord?"

"Yes, that's right.  I am."

"You're........my father?"

Jeremy's gaze returns to Katherine.  "Is this true, Katherine?  Is this young woman my daughter?  And don't you dare lie to me because I know everything.  I know that you gave birth to not one, but THREE babies, when Austin was born.  Is this my daughter?"

"Yes,"  Katherine replies angrily.  "Katelyn is your daughter."

Jeremy Lord looks at the young woman.  "Oh dear God," he says, fighting back tears.  "Katelyn.  You're.......you're very beautiful."

"Thank you," Katelyn replies.

"And what of the other child?  The boy?  Do you have him stashed away here, as well?"

"No,"  says Katherine.

"Well, then, where the hell is he?  And where is Austin?"  Jeremy asks.

"Probably half way out of the country by now."

"Out of the country?"  Jeremy asks.  "Why......out of the country?"

"Because Brian had to leave, and he took Austin with him,"  says Katelyn.

"What do you mean, he HAD to leave?  Katherine, you had better start talking and tell me just what in the hell is going on, and why you kept the existence of two of my children from me all these years."

"For the same reason I told you Austin died at birth,"  Katherine says.  "Because you were a monster, Jeremy.  You were vile and cruel to me during our marriage, and by the time I was finally able to get away from you, I hated you.  I lied to protect Austin from you getting your hands on him.  And I hid Brian and Katelyn away from you for that very same reason."

Jeremy angily glares at his former wife.  "You BITCH!"  He says.  "I could kill you for this."

"Then go for it."

"You said that.......Brian.......had to leave the country, and that he took Austin with him?"  Jeremy asks.  "Why?  Why did my son have to suddenly leave the country?"

"You really wanna know, Jeremy?"  Katherine asks.  "Then I'll tell you.  Because our son was responsible for that explosion at Richard's house a year ago.  Brian was the one who sent that bomb that nearly killed us all.  And that's exactly what he was trying to do......kill you and I and our entire family."

Jeremy's face turns pale from shock.  "What?  Dear God, what are you saying?"

"You heard me, Jeremy.  Brian, your SON, blew up Richard's house.  He had to leave the country because he was wanted for that crime, and he took Austin with him."

"Why?  Why did he take Austin?"  Jeremy asks.

"To ensure that I wouldn't call the police and turn him in until he was safely far away from here, in a country that has no extradition agreement with the United States."

"You're telling me that.........Brian abducted his brother?"

"That's right,"  replies Katherine.  "Brian assured me that, once the plane landed safely, he would let Austin go."

Jeremy looks at her for a moment, hate filling his soul.  "You're responsible for this.  If I known about my childrens' existence......"

"You would have WHAT, Jeremy?"  Katherine asks.  "Raised them?  Molded them in YOUR perfect image? Turned them into ruthless monsters like you?"

"And thanks to their vindictive, psychotic mother, one of my children turned into a monster, anyway, didn't he?"  Jeremy asks, then he grabs Katherine by the throat and forces her against a wall, choking her.

"STOP IT!!!"  Katelyn screams.  "STOP IT!!!"

Katherine struggles helplessly against Jeremy's iron grip.  Katelyn runs up to him and tries to pull him away from Katherine, but Jeremy pushes her away.

Down in the basement, bound and gagged, his hands and feet tied to the bed, Jimmy hears a female scream coming from upstairs.  What could that be?  He wonders to himself.  Is someone else here?  Has someone possibly come to rescue him?  The scream sounds again. Jimmy wonders if that could be Katie screaming!

Meanwhile, despite the late hour, Richard Channing has returned to the Wentworth mansion, hoping to catch Katherine or Austin there since it was now after midnight.  As he is about to ring the doorbell, Richard hears a woman's screams coming from inside the house. Alarmed by the screams, Richard begins pounding on the door.  "KATHERINE!!??"  He calls.  "KATHERINE?  AUSTIN?  LET ME IN!  WHAT THE HELL'S GOING ON IN THERE!!"  Again, he hears a scream.  Using all his strength, Richard begins ramming the front door with his shoulder in an attempt to break the door open, but to no avail.  He begins looking around for another way in.  Spotting a chair on the porch, he rushes over, picks it up, and hurls it through the window, shattering the glass into thousands of tiny pieces.  He then crawls through the broken window, enters the house, and makes his way into the living room, where he sees Jeremy holding Katherine against a wall, choking her.  Richard runs over, grabs Jeremy, and throws him to the floor.  As Jeremy is about to get up, Richard grabs a vase from a nearby table and smashes it over his half-brother's head, knocking Jeremy unconscious!  Katherine falls to the floor, holding her throat and gasping for air.  "Katherine,"  Richard says, kneeling beside his wife.  "Are you alright?"

"Richard......he......he tried to kill me,"  she says, weakly.

"Yes, I know.  I'm glad that I decided to come back here to the house.  I was here earlier, but no one answered the door.  I figured, this being the middle of the night, I might find someone here.  Katherine, I know the truth.  I know about your other two children."

"Richard, I'm sorry.  I'm sorry, I couldn't tell you."

At that moment, Richard notices Katelyn.  "Hello," he says.  "And who is this?"

"Richard, this is Katelyn.........my daughter."

Richard looks at the young woman, then back at Katherine.  "Where's Austin?"

"I don't know,"  replies Katherine, now in tears.  "He's with my Brian......my other son."

"And you don't know where they are?"

"No."

In the basement, Jimmy makes a futile attempt to scream, but he is unable to make a sound because of the gag in his mouth.  He struggles against the ropes that bind his hands and feet in an attempt to free himself, or at the very least, make some noise so as to alert whoever is upstairs.

Back upstairs, Richard helps Katherine up from the floor.  She looks at Jeremy laying a few feet from her.  "Richard, get him out of here."

"Don't worry, I'll take care of Jeremy Lord,"  Richard says.  "Katherine, what is going on with Austin and this other kid of yours.  Why did they leave, and how come you don't know where they've gone, and damn it, I want the truth this time."

Katherine looks at her husband.  "Richard, I........."  For a moment, she starts to tell him the truth about Brian, but then thinks better of it.  "I don't know where they are."

"Katherine, something is going on here.  Something very rotten, and damn it, I want the truth.  Now I can understand why you hid the existence of these two children from this man" (Richard points at an unconscious Jeremy on the floor).  "But why are you hiding the truth from me now?  How is it that you cannot know where Austin and your other son are? And why did they suddenly have to leave?  Was it because of Jeremy?"

"Richard, please,"  Katherine says.  "Just trust me.  Please just leave, and take Jeremy with you."

"I'm not going anywhere until I get some answers,"  Richard says, looking at his wife.

Katherine and Katelyn exchange looks of fear, Katherine wondering what she is going to tell Richard and how she will get out of this mess!

Meanwhile....

The wreckage of the Wentworth jet sits in a wooded and secluded area several miles outside of the town of Texarkana, Texas.  The cockpit and part of the cabin are intact, but the rear half of the cabin has broken off.  Inside the cockpit, the plane's pilot, Matthew, is unconscious, motionless, and bleeding from a cut on his head.  In the cabin, Austin is slumped over in his seat, his seat belt still buckled around him.  Slowly, he begins to wake

up.  As he regains consciousness, he is suddenly seized by agonizing pain.  He opens his eyes and looks around.  He sees Brian laying on the floor on the opposite, also unconscious and motionless.  Austin begins breathing hard, every breath bringing more pain.  "M......Matthew?"  He calls out weakly.  "Hello.......help.  Please....."  He starts to cry.  "Please, somebody.......help me......anybody......HEEELLLPPP MEEEEE!!!!!!"  Austin looks over at his brother on the floor, wondering if Brian was alive or dead.  "Hey, man," Austin says.  "Brian?  MATTHEW??  OH MY GOD AM I THE ONLY ONE ALIVE??  PLEASE, GOD, SOMEBODY......HELP ME!!!!"  Austin finds it increasingly difficult to breathe.  His whole body is hurting, and he begins to feel woozy.  "Somebody....

help me....."  He feels as if the world is spinning.  With each painful breath, Austin becomes even more dizzy.  He has no idea where he is, or if the plane went down near any homes, or near a town, or a populated rural area, or in a completely isolated area with no help available for miles.  Austin struggles against his own body to remain awake, because he knows that if he loses consciousness again, he would probably die.  He also realizes that, unless help comes very soon, he will meet his end right here in the broken cabin of his mother's plane.  Finally, unable to struggle anymore, Austin closes his eyes and slips into unconsciousness....

The Wentworth mansion....

"I'm waiting, Katherine,"  Richard says.  "I'm not leaving here until I get the truth."

As Katherine is about to say something, Jeremy begins to wake up.  "What in the hell," he asks, rubbing his head.  He looks up and sees Richard and Katherine.  "Who hit me?"

"I hit you,"  Richard replies.  "You tried to kill my wife."

"Damned right I wanted to kill this......this........this woman who stole everything from me," Jeremy says, getting himself up.  "This wretched woman who kept my children from me for 23 years."

"Maybe if you hadn't been such an evil, ruthless bastard, Katherine wouldn't have hidden your children from you out of fear,"  Richard says.

"You stay the hell out of this, Richard,"  says Jeremy.  "Katherine, if any harm comes to Austin at the hands of his brother, I'm holding YOU personally responsible."

"Why should any harm come to Austin?"  Richard asks.

Katherine and Jeremy remain silent as they continue to angrily stare at each other, Katelyn and Richard looking on.

"I'm waiting for an answer," Richard says, losing patience.  "Damn it, somebody had better tell me what the hell is going on here."

"Are you going to tell him, or should I?"  Jeremy asks.

"Tell me what?"

"The person responsible for blowing your house to smithereens one year ago......was my son. The son whose existence Katherine kept from me for 23 years."

Richard looks at his half-brother in shock, then looks at Katherine.  "Is what this man saying true?  Your son blew up my house and killed my unborn grandchild and Pilar Cumson?"

"Yes,"  Katherine replies angrily, her eyes fixed on Jeremy.  "It's true."

"I'm calling the police,"  Richard says, taking his phone from his pocket.

"Richard, NO!"  Katherine says.

"That kid is a cold blooded murderer, and he belongs in jail."

"Richard, if you call the police, Austin could be killed!"

Richard ignores his wife's pleas and as he begins dialing 911, Jeremy takes a gun from his pocket.  "Put the phone down, Richard," he says, pointing the gun at him.

"Lord, you're not going to stop me," Richard says.

Jeremy grabs Richard's phone from his hand and smashes his phone to the floor.  "I'm afraid I cannot allow you to phone the police."

"You're just as crazy as your killer kid," says Richard.

"Richard, while I agree with you that my son deserves punishment for his crimes, and believe me, he WILL be severely punished, I cannot allow you to put my son Austin in any further danger.  Now, you and I are going to leave here together."

"Like hell."

"I'm not giving you a choice, brother,"  says Jeremy.  "Either leave here with me, or I will kill you."

"Richard, do as he says,"  Katherine tells her husband.

"You son of a bitch," Richard says.

"Let's get going,"  Jeremy says.

"How do I know you're not just taking me out of this house to kill me?"

"You DON'T.  You simply have to trust me when I say that I will most definitely kill you if you do not do exactly as I say and leave this house with me now."

Richard looks at Katherine, then at Jeremy.  Left with no choice, he turns and walks toward the front door, Jeremy following him with his gun.

"Jeremy,"  Katherine says.  "If you hurt Richard, I swear.......if it's the last thing I ever do, I will kill you, and THAT is my solemn promise."

Jeremy looks at her, then he forces Richard out of the house at gunpoint.

In the basement, Jimmy has been struggling for what seems like an eternity to reach a glass plate on the small table beside his bed.  At long last, he has managed to reach the plate with his right hand, the rope binding his wrist causing such a deep abrasion that his wrist is bleeding.  Getting his fingers on the edge of the plate, and using all the strength he has left, Jimmy pushes the plate off the table, causing it to smash on the floor.  He hopes that if someone else is upstairs, they would hear the breaking of the plate and come to investigate. Several seconds pass, and Jimmy is hopeful when he hears the basement door open and close, and someone coming down the stairs.  His hope is quickly dashed when he sees that it is Katelyn coming.  She walks over to the cage and looks at him.

"Jimmy, what have you done there?"  She asks.   Taking the key from her pocket, she unlocks the cage and walks in and goes over to him.  "Oh, Jimmy, my gosh,"  she says, seeing his bloody wrist.  "What happened to you.  Oh, the rope."  She grabs some paper towel from a roll sitting on the table and begins wiping the blood from his wrists around where they are bound.  "I'm gonna have to go upstairs and get some antibiotic ointment to treat this.  Jimmy, you really shouldn't have tried to get loose from the ropes.  Now look what you did to your wrist.  I'm afraid I have some bad news.  We've had some unexpected company tonight, so, for the time being, I'm going to have to keep you tied up, and keep the basement door locked.  Sorry about that, but, I can't take a chance of anyone coming here and finding you."

Jimmy struggles to speak.

Katelyn reaches over and removed the gag from his mouth.  "What is it you're trying to say?"

"You can't just leave me tied up down here all the time,"  Jimmy says.

"I have to, Jimmy.  I know what you're worried about.  Going to the bathroom.  Well, don't worry.  I have that covered.  You're not allergic to latex, by any chance, are you?"

"What?"

"Are you allergic to latex?"  Katelyn repeats.

"No.  Why?"

"Because, I'm going to have to catheterize you."

"What?"  Jimmy asks, greatly alarmed.  "What the hell are you talking about?"

"In case you have to go to the bathroom.  Don't worry, I'll be gentle.  And hopefully, it'll only be for a little while, until we're sure no one else is going to come here snooping."

"No.  There's no way in hell I'm letting you do that."

"Jimmy, it's either that, or you pee in your pants and all over your bed.  As for having to do the OTHER thing, I'll come down once a day and untie you so you can go potty.  I'll be right back down with that antibiotic ointment, and your foley catheter.  Then you can get some sleep.  It's almost 4 in the morning."  Katelyn smiles at her victim, then starts to leave the cage.

"Katie," he calls to her.

She stops at the door and turns back to him.  "Yes, Jimmy?"

"If I ever get out of this.......I swear to God, I'm gonna make you sorry."

Katelyn slams the door of the cage shut and looks at him.  "Well you're never getting out of here, Jimmy.  This is your new home, from now on.  I'll be back in a few."  Katelyn heads up the stairs and Jimmy hears the door open and close.

"Crazy bitch,"  Jimmy says quietly, tears streaming down his face.

A road headed out of Dallas....a short time later....

As Richard drives, Jeremy sits in the passenger seat of his rented car, holding his gun on his half-brother.  For more than twenty minutes the two have ridden in complete silence.

"I always knew you were a ruthless, cold business man,"  Richard finally says.  "But I never figured you for a killer."

"I'll do whatever I have to do to protect my children."

"That include your previously unknown psychopathic offspring?"  Richard asks.

"Quite frankly, I find it very difficult to even care for Brian, knowing the crimes he's committed and the damage he's done.  But Austin is innocent in all of this.  If he is with Brian, and Brian is as dangerous as we think that he is, then, I won't allow anything to cause him to do harm to Austin."

"How do you know he hasn't already done harm to Austin?"  Richard asks.  "For all we known, Brian has already done away with his brother."

"Alright, we've driven far enough,"  Jeremy says.  "Pull over.  There, up ahead."

Richard does as Jeremy instructs and pulls the car over.  "Okay, now what?"

"Get out of the car.  Very slowly."

Again, Richard follows orders.  The two men get out of the car and Jeremy walks around the car to face him.  "So what are you gonna do?"  Richard asks nonchalantly.  "Shoot me down in cold blood and leave me here?"

"As much as I find that a very attractive prospect, no,"  Jeremy replies.  "I'm simply going to incapacitate you and leave you here.  By the time you're able to return to town, I can only hope that Brian will have released Austin."

"And what's to stop me from calling the cops and having your sorry ass arrested for kidnapping as soon as I can get to a phone?"

Jeremy smiles at him.  "Perhaps I should reconsider my plans and just kill you here and now," he says.

Before Jeremy has time to react, Richard lunges for him, grabbing the gun.  The two men wrestle for control of the weapon.  The gun is forced between the two of them, both their hands on the weapon, each struggling with all his might to get the gun away from the other. Suddenly, the loud noise of a gunshot can be heard as the weapon goes off.  Both Richard and Jeremy each have a look of horror on their faces, one of them obviously hit!

Southfork....early morning....

Krystina is sitting in the kitchen at Southfork later that morning drinking a cup of coffee when Lucy walks into the kitchen.

"Morning, Lucy," Krystina says.

"Morning."

"Wow, you're up early."

"I could say the same about you."  Lucy says, pouring herself a cup of coffee.  She takes a seat at the table across from Krystina.

"I couldn't sleep without John Ross in bed next to me.  So, I checked on Little John, then came down here.  I've been sitting here for a while."

"John Ross is very lucky to have you,"  Lucy says with sadness.

"Thank you, Lucy,"  Krystina says.  "I feel like I'm the lucky one.  John Ross and I have had our problems, but, he's the best thing that's ever happened to me.  And I can't wait for this baby to be born."

Lucy sighs deeply, then takes a sip of her coffee.

"Lucy, are you okay?"  Krystina asks.

"Fine."

"You really don't seem fine.  Was it what I said about John Ross and the baby?"

"Krystina, I'm sorry,"  Lucy says.  "I really AM happy for you.  It's just that, I can't help but feeling a little envious.  I could've had those things once, a husband and a child. But I threw away my chance at both."

"Lucy, would you mind if I asked......why didn't you and Mitch ever have children?"

Lucy looks at her for a few seconds before answering.  "Because I couldn't.  I couldn't have children."

"Oh, Lucy, I'm sorry.  I wouldn't have asked if....."

"No, it's fine,"  Lucy says.  "Ann knows, so I might as well tell you.  After Mitch and I were separated, when I was modeling, there was this photographer I was working with, Roger Larsen.  Roger became obsessed with me, and one night, he kidnapped me."

"Oh Lucy, my God."

"That wasn't the worst.  While he held me captive in his studio.........Roger raped me."

"Raped you?"  Asks a stunned Krystina.  "Lucy, I'm so sorry."

"I got pregnant, and, I had an abortion.  I didn't know until a few years later, after Mitch and I had remarried and moved to Atlanta, and we were trying to start a family, that the abortion had left me unable to have kids."

"Lucy, I........I don't know what to say.  I'm sorry doesn't even seem adequate.  It's so unfair that you've had to suffer for what some monster did to you."

"I know,"  says Lucy.

"I hope that Roger Larsen is still rotting in prison."

"I don't know.  He could be, for all I know.  Bobby and Pam rescued me, but, Roger escaped. I'm sure that he probably repeated his crime somewhere else and with some other unfortunate woman.  I can only hope that he paid for what he did somehow."

Krystina reaches across the table and takes Lucy's hand.  "Thank you for telling me.  Does John Ross know?"

"No, and, I'd really appreciate it if......"

"Say no more.  I won't say a word to hjm about this."

"Thank you,"  Lucy says.

"Well, it's almost 7 a.m., so I guess the men are up and at it again on the cattle drive,"  says Krystina.  "So, how about we have some breakfast?"

"Breakfast sounds good since I doubt I'll be able to get back to sleep."

Krystina smiles.  "Okay, I'll fix some waffles."

"And I will fry up some bacon,"  Lucy says as both women get up from the table.

"Lucy, you can COOK?"  Krystina asks.

"A few things.  Grandma taught me."

"John Ross talks about Miss Ellie a lot,"  says Krystina.  "I wish I could've known her."

Lucy looks at her cousin-in-law and smiles.  "You'd have liked her, Krystina.  And I know she would've liked you, a lot."

Krystina smiles at Lucy upon hearing her compliment, then walks to the cabinet beside the stove and takes out a box of waffle mix.

Meanwhile....

As Bobby, John Ross, Lucas, Justin, Alex, Michael, and Shawn resume the cattle drive on the ranch that morning, Bobby is sitting atop his horse, again trying to call Ann, but just as the previous night, his call went straight to voicemail.  Lucas rides up next to his father.

"What's wrong?"  Lucas asks.  "Still can't reach Ann?"

"No, I can't and I'm gettin' worried.  I've called her at least ten times since last evening, and now it says her voice mailbox is full.  That's not like Ann.  Somethin's wrong."

"Maybe somethin's wrong with her phone."

"Maybe.  I'm gonna call the house,"  Bobby says.  He dials the number of the house at Southfork.

Back at the mansion....

As Lucy and Krystina are making breakfast, the phone rings in the kitchen.  "I'll get it," Lucy says.  She walks over and picks up the cordless phone on the counter.  "Hello?"

"Lucy, good morning, I hope I didn't wake ya," Bobby says.

"No, not at all.  Krystina and I were just making breakfast."

"Oh, good.  Well, listen, is Ann awake by any chance? I been tryin' to call her since last night on her cell phone but she duttin' answer."

The house....

"Hold on a second and I'll go check,"  says Lucy.

"Okay, thanks, honey,"  Bobby says.

"What's up?"  Krystina asks Lucy.

"It's Bobby, he wants me to go up and see if Ann's awake."

"I'll go and check,"  Krystina says.

"Thanks,"  Lucy tells her as Krystina leaves the kitchen.  "So, Bobby, how's the cattle drive goin'?"

"It's goin' just great, Lucy.  Everybody's havin' a good time.  Well, ALMOST everybody, that is."

Lucy smiles.  "Let me guess......John Ross?"

"John Ross and Alex both."

"Like father, like son, like J.R.,"  Lucy says as Krystina returns from upstairs.  "Oh, hold on.  Krystina's back from checking on Ann."

"Ann's not upstairs,"  Krystina says.

"What?"

"Let me talk to him,"  Krystina says.  Lucy hands her the phone.  "Bobby, Ann's not upstairs. I looked all over.  The bed had been turned back but it didn't look like she'd slept in it."

"Is her car gone?"

"Lucy, check to see if Ann's car is here,"  Krystina tells her.

Lucy exits the sliding glass door leading on to the patio.  A moment later, she comes back in, closing the sliding door behind her.  "No, her car's gone."

"Bobby, Ann's car is gone, too."

The cattle drive....

"Alright, Krystina, thank you,"  Bobby says.  He ends the call and puts his phone into his pocket.

"What's wrong?"  Lucas asks.

"Ann, she's not home.  Doesn't look like our bed's been slept in, and her car's gone."

"Where could she be?"

"I don't.  Son, can you and Justin and the others finish up the drive?  I'm gonna head on back to the house."

"Yeah, sure, Dad,"  Lucas says.

"Thanks,"  Bobby says.  He then takes off on his horse at high speed headed back toward the house.

"Hey, where's Uncle Bobby goin' in such a hurry?"  John Ross asks.

"He had to cut out.  Somethin' came up.  He said for us to go ahead and finish the drive.  So come on, boys, let's get this done."

Southfork....a short time later....

Twenty minutes later, a Southfork pickup truck driven by one of the ranch hands pulls into the parking area in rear of the house.  Bobby gets out of the passenger side of the truck and heads to the house.  A few seconds later, he walks into the kitchen, where he is greeted by Lucy, Krystina, and Heather.

"Any word from Ann yet?"  He asks the women.

"No, nothing,"  Lucy replies.

"Bobby, what's goin' on?" Heather asks.

"I dunno.  But I've got a bad feeling that somethin's wrong,"  says Bobby.  Taking his phone from his pocket, he again speed dials Ann's number.  But, as in previous attempts, the call is diverted to her voicemail and gets a message that Ann's  mailbox is full.  He sighs deeply as he ends the call in frustration.

"Bobby, what are you gonna do?"  Heather asks.

"I'm gonna call some of Ann's friends and see if they've heard from her.  And then I'll call Emma.  If no one's heard from her, then I'm gonna call the sheriff and go out and look for her myself."

Meanwhile....

Ann's SUV sits at the bottom of the ravine, it's front end resting against a tree that morning as the hot, Texas summer sun shines brightly down on the vehicle.  It is just past 7 a.m., but already, it was hot, indicating that the day would be a real scorcher. Inside the SUV, Ann is slumped over her seat, her head resting against the driver's window, which is shattered.  Ann is unconscious and very still, her face bruised and she is bleeding from a cut on her head, and from a cut on her bottom lip.....

Sue Ellen's home....

A taxi pulls up in front of Sue Ellen's home early that morning.  The driver gets out, opens the back door, and helps Sue Ellen out of the cab.  "Thank you," she tells him.  She pays the Hispanic driver.  "Thank you, I'll take my bag," she says. Getting her suitcase, Sue Ellen walks up the front steps of the large house as the taxi drives off.  Taking her key from her purse, she unlocks the door and goes in.  Hearing the front door close, Catlin comes down the stairs.  He stops and looks at her, then smiles.

"Sue Ellen," he says.  "Sue Ellen, what are you doing home so early?"

"I chartered a private plane last night.  I was ready to come home."

Catlin walks over and embraces her.  "I'm SO happy you're home.  How was Dusty's funeral?"

Sue Ellen pulls out of the embrace.  "It was very sad.  I went to say my final goodbyes to Dusty, and, hopefully, bring some closure to my relationship with him."

"But.....that didn't happen?"  Catlin asks.

"Not exactly,"  replies Sue Ellen.  "Dusty threw me a real curve ball.  He, umm, he left me the Southern Cross Ranch in his will."

"He did what?"  Asks a surprised Catlin.  "But how?  I thought that you told me Dusty's father had sold that ranch years and years ago."

"Yes, Clayton sold the Southern Cross before he and Miss Ellie were married.  But, last year, after he left Dallas.......and me.......Dusty bought the ranch from the family that owned it.  Catlin, Dusty learned that he had terminal cancer, and he wanted to spend his final days on the ranch that had meant so much to him in his youth.  And he got his wish."

"I'm very sorry.   So what are you gonna do with the ranch?  You can't very well run the Southern Cross from Dallas."

"No, you're right, I can't.  I've thought about this all night, on the flight home.  Thinking about what I wanted to do with the Southern Cross.  And I've come to a decision."

At that moment, Catlin's cell phone rings.  "Damn," he says, taking the phone from his pocket.  "It's Jay Smithfield.  I wonder what he wants."

"Better find out,"  Sue Ellen says.

Catlin quickly answers.  "Jay, hi, what's up?"  Catlin listens for a few moments to what Jay has to tell him.  Then his mouth falls open in shock.  "What?  Jay, how the hell did that happen?  What kind of security do they have down there?  Yes, Sue Ellen just returned home from San Angelo this morning.  Yes, well, please, keep us posted if you hear anymore.  Thanks."  Catlin ends the call.

"Catlin, what is it?"  Sue Ellen asks.

"Peter Love.  He was supposed to appear in court this morning for some kind of a hearing. While they were getting to transport him and some other prisoners.......Peter escaped."

"What?  Oh my God,"  Sue Ellen gasps.

"I'm gonna call C.J.,"  Catlin says.  "With that maniac on the loose, none of us are safe."

Sue Ellen looks at him, fear in her eyes at the news that the man who framed her for Brittany's murder had escaped.

Memorial Hermann Medical Center, Houston....

Sly is napping in a chair beside Phyllis's hospital bed that morning when Phyllis begins to wake up from the anesthesia from her surgery the day before.  Phyllis moans as she awakens, the sound of which wakes Sly, who stands and looks down at her friend.  Phyllis opens her eyes.

"Well, good morning, sleepy head,"  Sly says. "It's about time you woke up."

"Sly......have you been here all night?" Phyllis asks in a weak voice.

"Yeah.  I slept on the sofa in the waiting room down the hall.  Then I came in here about 6 a.m. and fell asleep."

"How long have I been out?"

"Well, they took you down for surgery about 10 o'clock yesterday morning, and it is now almost 8 a.m., so, you've been asleep for at least 22 hours,"  Sly says. "But the doctor said the surgery went well.  I guess now it would be safe to tell your daughter about all of this?"

"Not just yet.  I want to at least wait until I'm out of ICU.  Sly, thank you for everything.  For staying with me.  For being such a good friend."

Sly looks at her and smiles.  "No thanks are necessary.  You and I have known each other for a lot of years, and, you've always been a good friend to me, even if we were sometimes on opposites sides of things."

"The good old days at Ewing Oil.  You working for J.R. and me for Bobby."

Sly laughs.  "And rarely were those two on the same side of anything," she says.  After a few seconds, her expression turns more serious.  "Is there anything I can get you or do for you?"

"As a matter of fact, there is."

"Just name it."

"Go and get some rest, in a REAL bed,"  Phyllis says.

"Well, if you insist, I will.  You rest and take it easy and don't worry about a thing.  I'll be back in a few hours."

"Thank you, Sly."

"You're welcome, BFF."  Sly again smiles at her friend, then starts to leave.  As Sly is about to exit the room, she hears Phyllis gasping for breath.  She turns back and sees Phyllis having some problems.  Sly rushes back to her bedside.  "Phyllis, what is it?"

"I......I can't breathe,"  Phyllis struggles to say as her heart monitor begins to beep faster.  "I.....I.....can't....."

"Alright, calm down,"  Sly says.  She presses the nurse call button.  "I need some help in here, NOW!"

Within seconds, a team of nurses and a doctor rush into the room and to Phyllis's bedside.  "Ma'am, please stand back and give us room," one nurse says to Sly.  As Sly watches, the team begins working on Phyllis, who appears to be in serious distress.

"She's going into cardiac arrest!"  Sly hears someone say.  She watches in horror as Phyllis's heart monitor flatlines!

Back at Southfork....the cattle drive....

John Ross, Lucas, Justin, Alex, Michael, Shawn, and a few Southfork hands continue to herd the cattle to their new destination, hoping to be finished with the drive at least by noon,

due to the oppressive heat.  "Man, I can't wait to get back to the house and get a shower," Alex says.

"I can't wait to get back and climb into a nice, soft bed, in an AIR CONDITIONED bedroom," Shawn says.

The others laugh at the boys' comments.  "Well, don't worry, boys, we're almost there," Justin says.  "We should be done in another hour or so."  No sooner has Justin gotten the

words out of his mouth than his horse happens upon a Diamondback rattlesnake in the prairie grass.  The horse is severely spooked by the snake, and begins to buck.  "Whoa, boy!"  Justin yells at the animal.  The horse continues to buck, rearing back so far that Justin is thrown from the animal.  He falls to the ground, hitting his head against a rock.

Riding a few feet from his brother,

John Ross sees Justin fall, and turns his horse back.  "JUSTIN!"  He yells, alerting the others.  As John Ross attempts to go to his younger brother's aid, his horse is also spooked by the rattlesnake, and he too, is thrown.  John Ross lands on his back.  "Rattler!!"  He yells.

Lucas quickly dismounts his horse, takes his gun out, and shoots the rattlesnake twice, killing it.

"John Ross, are you okay?"  Alex says, climbing down from his horse and running to his father.

"I'm fine.  Justin!"

Lucas, Shawn, and Alex rush over to Justin, who is laying on the ground, his head resting against a rock, blood coming from a gash on the side of his head.  "Justin," Lucas says, kneeling beside his cousin.

"Is he okay?"  Shawn asks.

"No,"  Lucas replies.  "He's hurt pretty bad.  John Ross, call for some help.  We have to get him to a hospital."

Somewhere near Texarkana, Texas....

Back at the site of the Wentworth jet crash, the pilot, Matthew, remains slumped over the

plane's steering wheel, or stick.  In what is left of the cabin, Austin continues to remain still in his seat, while Brian is still on the floor.  Neither of the three young men appear to show any signs of life.....

Meanwhile....

Like the three plane crash victims, Ann Ewing also remains motionless, trapped in her vehicle as it rests against a tree at the bottom of a ravine, the hot summer sun beating down on the roof of the SUV.

Back at Southfork, Bobby is calling everyone of Ann's friends, but no one has seen or heard from her at least since the previous day.  Bobby then dials Emma's number, hoping that she'd heard from or spoken to her mother....

The Wentworth mansion....

In the basement of the Wentworth mansion, poor Jimmy Beaumont continues to be tied hand and foot to his bed, having suffered every form of abuse and humiliation at the hands of Katelyn Spencer, a young woman who had become as unhinged and dangerous as her parents and brother.  As Jimmy lays on his bed, tears run down from the corner of his eyes and onto his pillow.  Jimmy closes his eyes and begins to silently pray.......he prays for rescue from this living hell he's now enduring, or for death....

Meanwhile, upstairs, Katherine paces frantically around the living room, worried sick about both of her sons, and about Richard.  Finally, after hours of waiting, Katherine is startled by the ringing of the doorbell.  Breathing a sigh of relief, as she thinks it could be Richard, Katherine rushes to the door and throws it open.  "Richard!"  She says, only to find Jeremy Lord standing in front of her, a large bloodstain on his shirt.  "Jeremy........"

"Now that Richard Channing is out of the way, you and I have some unfinished business," Lord says.  He pushes Katherine back, forcing his way into the house, closing the door behind him.

Jeremy Wendell's penthouse....

Tripp McKay steps off the elevator at Jeremy Wendell's penthouse in downtown Dallas that morning.  As he enters the penthouse, he is greeted by Wendell's butler, William.

"Mr. McKay, good morning,"  William says cheerfully.

"Morning."

"Mr. Wendell is waiting for you.  I'll let him know you're here."

"Thanks,"  says Tripp.  After William steps out of the room, Tripp looks around the place.

Down the hall, in his office, Jeremy Wendell stands at the window, looking out over the city of Dallas.  A city he once almost owned, and still would, had it not been for the Ewings.  He takes a sip of the glass of water in his hand as a knock comes at his door.  William walks in.

"Mr. Wendell, Tripp McKay is here to see you."

"Thank you, William.  Send young McKay in."

"Yes, sir."  William leaves the room.  A few seconds later, Tripp walks in and closes the door behind him.

"Tripp, thank you for accepting my invitation to come and see me,"  Jeremy says.

"Of course,"  Tripp says.  "But I am kind of surprised that you wanted to see me without Cliff."

Jeremy turns to face the young man and smiles.  "I needed to speak with you alone. To make you a proposition.  And we certainly don't need Cliff Barnes here for that."

"Well, I'm all ears."

"Tripp, I've been following your career for quite some time with great interest.  And I must say I've been very impressed with what I've learned.  You're a very smart, and a very capable young businessman."

"Well, thank you, Mr. Wendell."

"Mr. Wendell sounds much too formal.  Please, call me Jeremy."

"Okay, then, Jeremy,"  says Tripp.

"I think that you could be a very powerful ally in my quest for revenge against the family that cost me everything......the Ewings.  I think that, together, you and I could make an unbeatable team."

"I think so, as well.  You, me, Cliff, and Brad."

Wendell looks at the young man and smiles.  "No, Tripp.  Just you and I.  We don't NEED Cliff Barnes and his son."

"Wait, you're cutting Cliff out of this?"  Tripp asks.

"I know that you're fond of him, but, the truth is, Cliff Barnes is an incompetent idiot.  I was simply using him to get to you."

"To get to me?  I'm not sure I understand."

"I wanted to meet you, Tripp, and what better way than to go through your father-in-law?  But now that you and I have gotten together, we don't need Barnes anymore. Tripp, I still own a portion of Westar stock. If I were to give that stock to you, it would give you a sizeable majority at the company.  You would be almost untouchable.  You'd have more power than any other Westar CEO since me."

"And just why would you do that?"  Tripp asks.

"I have my reasons, Tripp.  But the stock is yours, if you want it."

"On the condition that I work for you and do as you say, is that it?"

"Not work FOR me, Tripp.  Work WITH me.  To destroy the Ewings and their company once and for all.  You and Cliff Barnes and his upstart, bastard son had a plan in place, but what has really come of it?  Nothing.  With me, Tripp, you can finally avenge the deaths of your father and your brother Hunter."

"And what do you want in return?"  Tripp asks.

Jeremy looks at him and smiles.  He then walks over to his bar and pours a drink, handing it to Tripp.  "I want an heir.  Tripp, I once ruled this great city as CEO of the largest independent oil company in Texas.  Now you're in that position.  I want you to carry on my legacy.  Join me, and help me destroy the Ewings, and then you will have power beyond your imagination.  Can Cliff Barnes offer you a deal as sweet as that?"

"No, sir, he sure can't,"  Tripp says, taking a sip of his drink.

"No, but I CAN.  So, do we have a deal?"  Jeremy asks.

Tripp looks at the older man, takes another sip of his drink, and smiles.  "Oh, yes, Mr. Wen........JEREMY........we most definitely have a deal."

"Excellent,"  Jeremy says.  "Shall we toast?"

Tripp raises his glass to Jeremy's.

"To our new partnership,"  Jeremy says, toasting.  "To the destruction of the Ewing empire, and the beginning of a new Wendell-McKay empire."

Smiling, Tripp nods, then takes a sip of his drink as he looks forward to beginning his new partnership with Jeremy Wendell.......a partnership made in hell.  What Tripp is unaware of is that he has just sold his soul to the devil!

My, Oh, My what an ending to last episode of the season. Some cliffhangers for sure. Best episode ever. So many unanswered questions. Sure have a lot to think about until the next season. Can hardly wait. Please, John don't ever stop writing. You are, without a doubt, the best there is. May God Protect and Keep You Safe Always.
Thank you so much for all your hard work.

Oh my gosh!!! Never a dull moment. LOL I so hope Ann isn't dead!!! If Phyllis is dead, it's just going to be another thing Courtney is going to have to cope with. What was Ann thinking she could just confront Katherine without any harm coming to her? I could just picture Brenda Strong and Morgan Brittany having that cat fight together. What a mess Katherine has found herself into all cause of those lies she made in the past and now truth of Lucas being the father of Emma's baby instead of Kevin is going to tear the Ewing family apart after Ann is found. I wonder what Wendell has in store for him and Tripp to help them gain revenge on the Ewngs. With them coming after Bobby and other Ewing family members, they're going to need each other to help them fight their enemies. I hope Austin isn't dead, but as for Brian well good riddance. Have a nice time in the afterlife, and I don't mean heaven. LOL I can't wait to find out the fates of all these characters including Richard Channng. What a wonderful season finale!!! I can't wait until season 7 so please hurry up, put your thinking cap on, and start thinking of what to have in store for us this next season in September!!! I'm just kidding. Enjoy your break!!! You deserve it John!!! Such much suspense! This season finale had everything packed into it. You really outdid yourself again!!! Words can not describe how much I enjoy reading your Dallas episodes and love them!!! Amazing and perfect finale!!!

    John,
All I can say is...WOW! What an action-packed, plot-twisting, cliff-hanger episode!!!! Definitely left me hanging on so many of the characters and their continuing saga!
Loved how you brought back Jeremy Wendell and added yet another layer to connect the original Dallas characters with the new generation!
You have spent so much time keeping us Dallas fans going , and your love of this iconic show is evident. Keep up the great work- and I KNOW it is work- as you have a talent for writing!
Can't wait til your new season!!!!

    Derek Mathews (Saturday, 29 July 2017 19:23)

Everybody here is right! This season finale had everything! Very action packed, lots of fights with new rivalries, backstabbing, and so on. So many injures in this episode where people got seriously hurt or injured. I wish Ann had not went over there to Katherine's place like she did. But she didn't want Katherine to think that Emma ratted her out when it was Angela St. James that did so. But the real Katherine is starting to show out now, not the fake version on Falcon Crest.

    Derek Mathews (Saturday, 29 July 2017 19:32)

I knew that Jeremy Wendell was going to double cross Cliff Barnes. I saw that coming a mile away LOL! Why? Because Carter McKay, and JR Ewing have done the same thing on many occasions. But Tripp and Jeremy's new alliance is going to cause some tension with Brad and Cliff. That will be their downfall because instead of working together against the Ewings, they will be way too busy fighting each other. And Cliff Barnes just said, I don't double cross you, you don't double cross me, and Wendell did it anyway. Cliff and Brad will be livid about this brand new alliance.

    Derek Mathews (Saturday, 29 July 2017 19:58)

I hope that John Ross and Justin will be ok from their injures. But I can't believe that Justin is STILL doubting John Ross caring about him? John Ross was a different person three years ago; you have a much different relationship with him now. Hell, he actually cares more about his family now. He is married with two children, and a third one on the way. He's much more of a family. The real question is why are you dating another one of your brothers ex-wives? You saw how that worked out last time? Amanda cheated on John Ross with you, and then she turned around and did you the same way. Why would you want to go through the same thing over again? John Ross is looking out for you. He knows Pamela a lot more than you do man. She is a liar and user; she committed adultery too because she had a threesome, and overdosed on pills. You hardly know Pamela at all, that's his whole point. Take some time to get to know her. That's all he is saying.

John - Great ending. As many have have already said, your writing has captured the essence that made the old Dallas what it was and captivating to watch every Friday night! Every episode is packed with new twists and turns and the fact that you have brought back so many characters that we all love or love to hate...Well Done! The only thing that would make it even better is if JR was still in the picture!! :) Thank-you for your time and keeping this story alive!!!!! Looking forward to next season.

I have ALWAYS found it interesting that ALL of J.R. Ewing's FOUR children have names with the initials J.R. John Ross, James Richard, Justin Randall, and Jillian Renee. The only one I have a somewhat definite birthdate for is John Ross - 1979 (although Josh Henderson [the actor that plays John Ross] wasn't born until 1981). For the others, I am basing their birthdates on those of the actors that portray them, James Richard (Sasha Mitchell) was born in 1967. Jillian Renee (Kirsten Storms) was born in 1984. Justin Randall (Lucas Till) was born in 1990. I think the 1990 birthdate for Justin might be accurate because that was around the time that J.R. (Larry Hagman) was sewing his wild oats with Callie Harper (Cathy Podewell).

I wanted to thank you for keeping Dallas Alive. I loved loved this episode and definitely leaves you wondering what will happen next. I can't wait till the next session.
Enjoy your break and look forward to next session.

    John Walden (Saturday, 12 August 2017 01:42)

@Parker......John Ross was definitely born in 1979. James, yes, around 1967. But the others are wrong. Since J.R. didn't even meet Jillian's mother, Kimberly Styles Cryder, until late 1987, it would be impossible for Jill to have been born in 1984, lol. She was born in early 1988. Justin was born in early spring, 1991. Remember the episode Some Leave, Some get Carried Out, which aired in April, 1991? In that episode, J.R. tracked down Cally and her baby son, who was just a tiny newborn at the time. When he saw how different and happy Cally looked when he witnessed her with another man, J.R. did the decent thing and decided to leave her alone.

@Angel.....thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. I'm glad you're enjoying them.

    Parker Bena (Monday, 04 September 2017 20:51)

Children are not allowed to work on TV until they are 4 months old. So, it is possible that Justin Randall could have been born in late 1990.
